Do you live in a fool’s paradise, believing that Artificial Intelligence will replace only entry-level jobs? I have got really bad news for you. You are absolutely wrong.

The software industry is not immune to the disruptive power of AI. Jobs that were once performed by human programmers, developers, and testers are now being automated.

For example, machine learning algorithms including ChatGPT are now being used to generate code, reducing the need for human coders. AI-powered testing tools can also quickly identify bugs and glitches, making manual testing by humans less necessary.

But it’s not just entry-level positions that are at risk. Even experienced software engineers could find themselves replaced by advanced AI systems capable of developing and managing entire software projects.

And while AI has the potential to increase efficiency and productivity, it poses a significant threat to the job market. As more and more software jobs are automated, it’s essential that workers develop new skills and adapt to this changing landscape.

So, what does the future hold for software jobs? Will humans be able to keep up with the increasing capabilities of AI, or will we be left behind? Only time will tell.

But one thing is certain: You won’t be able to survive in the software profession, just by doing the bare minimum. The only way to survive is to upskill and reskill yourselves continuously. Only those who adapt to the new reality will be the ones who thrive in the years to come.
